Hoy el CPSC y Health Canada en cooperación con Infantino han anunciado un retiro voluntario de mas de 1 millón de cargadores de tela para bebés (slings) despues de reportes de 3 fatalidades. Por favor checa la página web de CPSC para leer todos los detalles (en inglés por el momento).
Los modelos afectados son "SlingRider" y "Wendy Bellisimo" y fueron vendidos desde enero del 2003 hasta marzo del 2010 en Wal-Mart, Burlington Coat Factory, Target, Babies "R" Us, BJ's Wholesale y Amazon.com
Acciones a tomar: Deja de usar el sling inmediatamente y contacta a Infantino para recibir un producto de reemplazo, tendrás las opciones de: Wrap & Tie infant carrier, o 2 en 1 Shopping Cart Cover (cubierta para carritos del supermercado), o 3 en 1 Grow & Play Activity Gym. www.infantino.com o llama gratuitamente (866) 860 1361 de 8:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m. ET de lunes a viernes.

Today the CPSC and Health Canada in cooperation with Infantino are announcing a voluntary recall of more than 1 million baby slings after three infants deaths were reported. The models recalled are "SlingRider" and "Wendy Bellisimo." Please check this link to read all the details about this recall, thanks.
Slings were sold in the United States and Canada from January 2003 through March 2010 at Wal-Mart, Burlington Coat Factory, Target, Babies "R" Us, BJ's Wholesale and Amazon.com
Take action: Stop using the sling immediately and contact Infantino at www.infantino.com or call toll-free at (866) 860 1361 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, to receive a free replacement product with a choice of a Wrap & Tie infant carrier, or a 2 in 1 Shopping Cart Cover, or a 3 in 1 Grow & Play Activity Gym.

Que mala suerte, el sling rider me lo regalaron hace 2 semanas. Si se me hacia un poco incomodo. Gracias Silvia por ti es que me entero de estos recalls y ya van 2 que me tocan directamente.
ReplyDeleteThis "bag like" carrier is not a good carrier and indeed dangerous but that doesn't mean all baby wearing is bad. There are some great slings and pouches out there. Please do research and learn how to carry baby. Baby wearing is SO beautiful if done the right way!

ReplyDeleteFelt sad after reading about the unfortunate deaths. I hope a lot of the parents who bought these sling carriers were already informed about the hazard that it can give to their child.
