Pastel de Tres Leches/Three Milk Cake

English version below

Creo que el título lo dice todo, ¿a quién no le gusta el pastel de tres leches? Es el favorito de esta casa. Yo uso una receta super fácil, recomiendo que lo hagas una día antes para que el pan absorba bien la leche y este bien frío cuando lo sirvas. Ahí les va la receta:

Precalienta el horno a 350 F (170 C) grados.

3 huevos

1 taza de azúcar

1 cucharadita de vainilla

1 taza de harina

1 1/2 cucharaditas de polvo de hornear

1/4 taza de leche fresca

1 lata (14 oz) de leche condensada

1 lata (12 0z)de leche evaporada

1 lata de crema de leche (crema para batir o media crema)

Fruta (fresas o duraznos) y crema chantilly para decorar.

Se colocan los huevos y el azúcar en un tazón mediano y se baten hasta que estén espumosos (3 minutos aprox.), agrega la vainilla y sigue batiendo a velocidad media hasta que la preparación este a punto de cinta o hasta que los batidores dejen huella en la mezcla. Cierne la harina y el polvo de hornear tres veces. Incorpora una tercera parte de los ingredientes secos a la mezcla. Agrega la leche fresca de un golpe e incorpora bien, agrega el resto de la harina.

Vacía a un molde redondo de 9.5 pulgadas (24 cm) de diámetro engrasado y enharinado y hornea por 25 min aprox. o hasta que al introducir un palillo este salga limpio.

Cuando el pan esté listo, sácalo del horno, déjalo reposar cinco minutos. Desmóldalo y con un palillo o tenedor haz algunos agujeros para que las leches penetren mas fácilmente. Inmediatamente licúa las leches, sepáralas por la mitad, (pon una mitad en el refrigerador) y agrega la mitad de la mezcla poco a poco hasta que el pan la absorba completamente. Déjalo reposar hasta que se enfríe completamente y ponlo en el refrigerador por una noche.

Decóralo con crema chantilly y fruta. ¡Qué lo disfrutes!

Nota: Puedes congelar la otra mitad de la mezcla de leches para hacer otro pastel después. O bien, si quieres hacer el de la foto; hornea dos panes, agrega la mitad de la mezcla de leches al primer pan (no olvides hacer los agujeros con el palillo), esparse crema chantilly y fruta (fresas frescas o duraznos en almibar), pon el segundo pastel encima y agrega la leche restante. Ponlo en el refrigerador por una noche. Decóralo con crema batida y fruta, o flores tal como lo hice yo.

The title says it all, who doesn't like tres leches cake? It's a favorite dessert in this house. I use a very simple recipe and I recommend you leave it in the fridge for one day, so it's cold and moist when you serve it.

Preheat the oven to 350 F (170 C) degrees

3 eggs

1 cup of sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 cup of flour

1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder

1/4 cup fresh milk

1 can (14 oz) condensed milk

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

1/2 pint whipping cream

Fruit (strawberries or peaches) and extra whipping cream for decoration.

Beat the eggs and sugar in a medium bowl until fluffy (aprox. 3 min), stir in vanilla and beat well until smooth. Sift flour and baking powder three times. Add one third of the dry ingredients into the batter, mix well. Pour in the fresh milk and incorporate the rest of the flour mix. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 25 minutes or until cake tester inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let it rest for five minutes. Remove cake from pan and pierce surface all around with a fork or toothpick. Blend condensed milk, evaporated milk and whipping cream. Pour half of the milk mixture over the warm cake slowly until absorbed (put the other half of the mixture in the fridge). Let it rest until cool and refrigerate for a day.

Frost cake with whipping cream and garnish with fruit. Enjoy!

Note: you may freeze the other half of the milk mixture and bake a cake another time. Or you can bake two cakes to make a layer cake. When they are ready, pour half of the milk on one cake, cover with whipping cream and fruit, then place the second cake on top, pierce it and then pour the other half of the milk over it, refrigerate for a day.

Cuando era niño, Estevan nunca se interesó realmente en la palabra escrita, muchas otras cosas eran mas interesantes para él, como los libros de superheroes y hacer dibujos de seres fantásticos. Pero cuando estaba en el quinto grado, el escribir ensayos cortos para un distante maestro, se encendió una llama dentro de él, la cual todavía esta ardiendo. Usando la imaginación de su padre como trampolín para sacar ideas, se propuso a escribir un manuscrito completo. Su sueño de convertise en escritor se hizo realidad a la edad de 15 años con la publicación de su primera obra literaria, "Servant of the Realm" (El Sirviente del Reino), una historia sobre un adolescente que ve en el futuro las muertes de aquellos a quien ama, y trata de cambiarlo. Vega nos dice: "Hay algo terapéutico y natural en darle vida a lo mundano, o encontrar escape a través de personajes raros y conceptos extraños".

Su segundo libro, "The Sacred Sin" (El Pecado Sagrado), fue publicado cuando tenía 18 años de edad y muestra un lado mas oscuro y mayor intensidad que su primer libro. "The Sacred Sin" respira honestidad y emoción y cuenta la historia de Jude Foster un cínico detective asignado a capturar a un asesino en serie, el cual es capaz de robar las almas de sus víctimas sin tocarlos. Detener a este asesino fantasma y luchar en contra de sus propios demonios internos parece ser el único camino para recobrar la sensatez y comenzar de nuevo. Discontento con la autocompacencia humana y con una gran curiosidad sobre lo sobrenatural, Vega, escribe historias que habitan la línea entre la ficción y la realidad, un lugar donde el mundo es tan borroso e irregular como las elecciones humanas y sus consecuencias.

¿De dónde eres y en dónde vives ahora? Tengo el privilegio de ser de Nueva Inglaterra, donde las personas son medio gruñonas, con o sin su café mañanero, y donde los inviernos son my largos. Nací, crecí y ahora estoy atrapado en Connectitut. Sin embargo, el hogar es el hogar. Además se supone que somos un Estado rico, aunque no creo que sea aplicable a autores latinos… aún. Nunca me imaginé que podría escribir, pero empecé a sacar 10 en mis ensayos e historias cortas de mi clase de Inglés, y es cuando decidí empezar a escribir un libro. Es cuando mi primer libro “Servant of the Real” (El Sirviente del Reino) nació.

Cuéntanos un poquito acerca de tu mas reciente libro, y dinos que te inspiró a escribir la historia. Por un lado, “The Sacred Sin” (El Pecado Sagrado) es una historia espeluznante acerca de un cínico detective que se aborrece a si mismo, y que intenta detener a un asesino en serie que es capaz de robar las almas de sus víctimas sin establecer contacto humano. Por otro lado, es una historia acerca de como vencer nuestro lado oscuro, que corrupte, mancha y poco a poco nos puede llevar a la ruina. Todos lo tenemos, la pregunta es: ¿somos lo suficientemente fuertes?

¿Cuál fue tu objetivo cuando escribiste este libro? Fue escribir algo significativo y estremecedor. Ah! Y también quería llevarme de calle mi libro anterior. Creo que logré los dos objetivos, aunque al fin de cuentas es el lector quien decide.

¿Cuál es tu audiencia? Quien quiera serlo. He encontrado mi lugar tanto con jóvenes como con adultos. Pero el libro contiene situaciones fuertes, no es para el de corazón débil. ARSON va a ser un libro más facil de leer, creo que tengo algo para cada quien, desde el estudiante de secundaria hasta las abuelas.

Técnicamente hablando, ¿cuál el mayor reto al que te enfrentas cuando escribes? ¿Cómo haces para solucionarlo? Es hacer que mis personajes y situaciones sean originales, reales y palpables. Tomo consejos de mi propia vida, errores, victorias y anhelos.

¿Cuáles son los temas que te apasionan cuando escribes? La humanidad, su lado oscuro, su naturaleza frágil, su belleza. Nosotros somos una creación única pero con defectos, complicada y hermosa en nuestra imperfección. Nuestras pasiones y nuestras debilidades me estimulan, me dejan perplejo y regularmente me dejan descontento. El punto perfecto para empezar una historia.

¿Estás escribiendo otro libro? ¿Te gustaría comentarnos algo acerca de tus proyectos futuros? Si, espero que el que estoy desarrollando sea el mejor hasta ahora. He estado trabajando en el desde finales de 2006. ARSON es la historia de un joven, entre adolescente y adulto, con un angulo supernatural muy padre, me encanta. Arson tiene la insólita habilidad de crear y manipular fuego con su mente. El odia el mundo cruel que le corresponde en odio, pero al menos él lo entiende… hasta que una extrana joven con una máscara aparece en su vida y lo cambia todo.

¿Cuál es tu mayor recompensa como escritor? Ser lo suficientemente afortunado para compartir my palabras e ideas con el mundo.

¿Alguna otra cosa que desees comentarnos hacerca de ti o de tu obra? Yo sólo soy un niño en el mar del caos y voces ruidosas. Si tu tienes algo que decir, dilo. El mundo es muy pequeño para no explorarlo, la vida esmuy corta para no vivirla, o vivirla sin palabras. ESTEVAN BIO

As a young boy, Estevan Vega never really felt interested in the written word. Far more fascinating things like comic book superheroes and sketching fantastical beings caught his eye. But in the fifth grade, writing short essays for a standoffish teacher ignited a fire that is still burning. Using his imaginative father as a springboard for ideas, Vega set out to write a full manuscript. His dream to become a published author came forth when he was just 15 years old, releasing his first literary creation, Servant of the Realm,to the world, a story about a teenager who sees the future deaths of those he loves and tries to change it. "There is something therapeutic and natural about breathing life into the mundane, or finding escape through odd characters and strange concepts," says Vega.

The Sacred Sin, his second book, was published when he was 18, and shows a darker edge and deeper intensity than his first effort. The Sacred Sin bleeds with honesty and emotion, and tells the story of Jude Foster, a cynical self-loathing detective,assigned to bring down a serial killer capable of stealing victim's souls without ever touching them. Stopping this ghost killer, fighting against his demons, his inner darkness, may be the only path toward sanity and a new beginning. With a curiosity for the supernatural, as well as a feeling of discontentment with humanity's complacency, Vega’s story-lines dwell somewhere in between fiction and reality, a place where the world is as blurred and irregular as human choice and consequence.

Know a little more about this talented author:

Where are you from and where are you now? I have the privilege of being from New England, where the people seem ornery, with or without their morning coffee, and the winters last way too long. Connecticut, actually. Born, raised and stuck. But, I guess home is home. And supposedly, we’re a rich state. Not exactly sure that applies to young, Hispanic authors…yet. The last two semesters, I have bounced back and forth between home and Massachusetts, where I go to school.

When did you decide you wanted to become an author? How did you get started writing? I was in fifth grade, and I had made up my mind. It was time for me to become rich and famous. Never knew I could write, but I started getting A’s on English essays and short stories, so I decided to begin a book. That’s when Servant of the Realm, book number one, came along.

Tell us a bit about your latest book, and what inspired you to write such a story. On the one hand, The Sacred Sin is a creepy story about a cynical, self-loathing detective trying to stop a serial ghost killer capable of stealing victims’ souls without human contact. On the other hand, it’s about overcoming your inner darkness, that which corrupts, stains and eventually leads us to ruin. We all have it in us. The only question is: are we strong enough?

What was your goal when writing this book? To write something meaningful and spooky. Oh, and I wanted it to blow my first book out of the water. I think I achieved them all, but it’s the readers who truly decide.

Who is your target audience? Whoever wants to be. I’ve found a place with young readers, as well as adults. But the book has some dark material. Not for the faint of heart. ARSON is going to be a much more readable book, meaning that there will truly be something for everyone…from high school student to grandmother. 


Technically speaking, what do you have to struggle the most when writing? How do you tackle it? Making my characters and their situations unique, real and palpable. I take pointers from my own life, mistakes, victories, longings.

When writing, what themes do you feel passionate about? Humanity. Their darkness. Their fragile nature. Their beauty. We are such a unique yet flawed creation, intricate and precious in our imperfection. Our passions and our weaknesses stimulate me, perplex me, and often leave me discontented. It’s a perfect place to start a story.

Do you have another book on the works? Would you like to tell readers about your current or future projects? Yes. What I hope is shaping up to be the best yet. I’ve been working on this one since the end of 2006. ARSON is a coming-of-age character story with a really cool supernatural angle, which I totally love. Arson is a boy who has the unusual ability of creating and manipulating fires with his mind. He hates the cruel world that hates him, but at least he understands it…until this strange girl with a mask comes along and changes everything.

Anything else you’d like to say about yourself or your work? I’m just one kid in a sea of chaos and loud voices. If you have something to say, say it. The world is too small to be unexplored, life too short to be unlived and to live unspoken. Como poner un comentario en un blog

Hace no mucho tiempo atrás, yo no tenia la menor idea de lo que era un blog, si habia visto algunos pero no les había prestado mucha atención... hasta que empecé el mío. Y debo confesar que al principio me sentía desorientada ya que no sabía muy bien que hacer, no entendía como poner comentarios (¡o que podía ponerlos!), no sabía que era twitter o que significaba seguir a alguien o suscribirse al email del blog, etc. Ultimamente, algunas personas (sobre todo familia) que han seguido mi blog me han escrito para sugerirme si puedo explicar como funcionan los blogs y que pueden hacer para participar. Asi que voy a iniciar una serie de artículos donde explicaré algunas de las cosas mas comunes que puedes encontrar en los blogs. Asi que si eres nueva esto te ayudará. Y para todas ustedes que son unas expertas, les agradecería mucho que dejaran algunos tips o comentarios para las nuevas llegadas a la blogosfera. ¿Qué les parece la idea?

En este artículo explicaré como poner un comentario en un blog. Cuando escribo un artículo o post, es en cierta forma unilateral ya que lo hago de acuerdo a mis gustos e intereses, esperando que alguien lo encuentre interesante o de utilidad, sin embargo, cuando alguien pone un comentario toda la dinámica cambia, porque ahora podemos "charlar". No puedo mentir al decir que cada vez que veo un nuevo comentario me siento feliz, (casi brinco de gusto) eso valida que no sólo mi mamá esta leyendo mi blog :) (¡hola mamá!). Los comentarios me dan energía para continuar escribiendo, me ayudan a conocerte un poco mejor y además me dan sugerencias e ideas que me ayudan a brindarte información que sea de relevancia para ti. Yo sé, por experiencia propia, que poner comentarios puede ser algo intimidante, sobre todo si las opciones estan en inglés o no sabes bien como hacerlo, asi que aquí paso por paso te diré como.

1. Da un click a comments y aparecera una página con el artículo y un espacio en blanco para escribir tu comentario, asi que escribe lo que quieras decir.

2. Escoge tu profile. Abajo del recuadro aparece una opción que dice:

Comment as (comenta como) si le das click en la flecha aparecerá una lista para que escojas una opción. Si tienes una cuenta en google, como gmail esa sera tu primera opción y es la que puedes usar, si no, continua leyendo la lista para ver si tienes un ID en cualquiera de las siguientes como TypePad, WordPress, etc. si no tienes ninguna de estas, entonces puedes escoger una de las últimas dos: Name/URL o Anónimo. Si escoges la primera, aparecera una ventana donde te pide tu información, escribe tu nombre y/o tu página web, si tienes una. Dale click en continuar y te mandará a la ventana original. Dale click a la flecha otra vez y verás tu nombre en el listado, selecciónalo y continua al siguiente paso. Si escoges anónimo, no hay nada mas que hacer, puedes continuar con el paso 3, sin embargo, si yo o alguien mas desea comentar algo sobre lo que tu escribiste es más fácil si tenemos tu nombre; escribir: "yo concuerdo con lo que anónimo dice....." suena como chistoso ¿no? asi que no seas penosa(o) y escribe tu nombre de pila :).

3. Post a comment (publica tu comentario) da un click en este botón, y se abrirá otra ventana.

4. Autentificación. Verás letras y/o números escritos medio chuecos, escribe lo que ves, tal como lo ves en el espacio destinado y continúa. (si crees que esto es un juego de tortura, no es así :) esta pantalla verifica que es una persona la que esta escribiendo y no una máquina automatizada escribiendo spam en blogs ok?). En ocasiones esta ventana no aparece y en su lugar muestra este mensaje: Your request could not be processed. Please try again (tu solicitud no pudo ser procesada. Por favor inténtalo de nuevo), no hay problema, sólo dale click a post a comment otra vez y aparecerá.

5. Tu comentario aparece para que todos lo podamos ver!!

Pareciera un poco complicado, pero no lo es tanto, después de que lo haces una vez, las demás seran pan comido ya lo verás. Y como dice por ahí un boton en ciertos blogs: "mi blog se alimenta de tus comentarios" asi que adelante, no seas penosa (o) y escríbeme algo!

How to post a comment on a blog

Not too long ago I didn’t have any idea what a blog really was. Yes, I’d seen some but I hadn’t paid too much attention to them… until I started my own. I have to confess that at the beginning I was a little confused. I didn’t know how to post comments (or if I had the right to), I didn’t know what twitter was or what subscribe to my email, or follow my blog meant. Lately some folks (mostly family) have written me to ask me to explain how a blog works and how they can participate in it. So I decided to start a series of posts to explain the most basic terms and activities you can find in most blogs, then if you are new, too, you will know what to do. And if you are a blog expert, how about leaving a comment or your own tips so we can all know a little more?

This post is about how to post a comment on a blog. When I write a post, it is in some way unilateral, because I write about things I like or I’m interested in, hoping that others will find it interesting or useful, too. However, when a person leaves a comment the whole dynamic changes, because now we can “chat”. I cannot lie when I say that every time I see a comment I feel very happy (jumping on the couch happy!), this tells me that it is not just my mom (hi mom!) reading my blog :). Comments give me energy to keep writing, help me to know you a little better and offer me suggestions and ideas to bring relevant information to you. I know, from personal experience, that posting a comment can be intimidating, specially when you do not know how to do it, so for those of you who are like I was just a few weeks ago and as per requested, let me offer these few tips:

at the bottom of each post you will see this: Posted by Silvia at 6:00 0 comments

1. Click on comments and a new window will load with a space to write your comment. Speak your mind!
2. Choose a profile. Below the box you will see this “Comment as”. Click on the arrow and choose your profile, like google account (if you have gmail) or Wordpress, etc. If none of these suit you then you can choose one of the two last ones: Name/URL or Anonymous. If you choose Name/URL another window will load where you will write your info, click on continue and you will be back to the original “choose a profile” window. Click on the arrow again and your name should be there as an option, click on it. If you decide to use Anonymous, there is nothing else to do, but keep in mind that it could be easier to have your name if I or another person would like to respond to your comment. Don’t be shy and give us your name or nickname.
3. Post your comment, click on the post your comment button, and another window will load.
4. Authentification. Now you will see a text box with some funny written characters, just write exactly what you see in the space below (this is not a game :) this information tells the system that there is a person writing this and not a machine leaving spam for everybody to enjoy!). In some rare occasions this window doesn’t show up and you get this message: Your request could not be processed. Please try again. Not a problem, just click to post comment again and it will show up.
5. Now your comment is visible to everybody!

It seems a little complicated reading the steps, but it is not. After you do it once, the rest will be a walk in the park. Don’t be shy and tell me something!

Desde el momento que empecé a leer este libro, no lo pude soltar! "If your kid eats this book, everything will still be okay" ("Aún si tu hijo se come este libro, se encontrará bien", debo hacer la aclaración que esta no es la traducción oficial del libro, ya que por lo pronto sólo es in inglés, pero es para que se den una idea por si en un futuro lo publican en español, ok?) fue escrito por la Dra. Lara Zibners, quien fuera profesora asistente de Pediatría de Emergencia en el Hospital Mount Sinai en N.Y. Este libro en palabras de la autora, "no es sobre aspectos básicos de cuidado de bebés... el objetivo de este libro es ayudar a reducir el estrés y gastos que una visita innecesaria a la sala de emergencia puede ocasionar a los padres".

Yo hubiera deseado tener y leer este libro antes del nacimiento de mi primer bebé, aunque me siento contenta de tenerlo ahora porque este libro habla sobre recién nacidos pero también sobre niños mayorcitos. Levante la mano la mamá que se preocupa cuando la popó del bebé cambia de color o de consistencia; ¿no te vuelves medio loca cuando notas que tu bebé tiene fiebre? ¿qué hacer si tu niña empieza a vomitar? ¿no te da casi un ataque de pánico cuando notas salpullido en la piel de tu niño? La Dra. Zinbers, objetivamente y con sentido del humor explica cada una de estas situaciones y muchas más. Nos hace saber cuando la enfermedad o lesión en tu pequeño es una real emergencia y tienes que llamar a 911 o ir a la Sala de Emergencia del Hospital, cuando debes llamar al doctor inmediatamente, o esperar hasta el día siguiente, o cuando sólo debes tener paciencia y dar amor y cuidado a tu pequeño.

Todavía recuerdo que una semana después de dar a luz a mi primer hijo, en una madrugada después de darle de comer, lo volteé para cambiarle el pañal y HORROR!! vi una mancha de sangre en su ropa, desesperada lo chequé y vi que salía de su cordón umbilical y ahi nos tienen a mi esposo y a mi tratando de conseguir un doctor o una enfermera a las cuatro de la mañana que nos diera su opinión médica. Bueno, pues si hubiera tenido este libro, hubiera sabido que hacer. Otra ocasion empece a notar que cada vez que cambiaba el pañal había una mancha anaranjada donde estaba la pipí, yo pensaba que era sangre, me preocupé mucho. Si hubiera tenido este libro hubiera sabido que pequeños cristales se forman cuando el ácido úrico entra en contacto con el material del pañal, qué alivio!. Estas parecieran ser situaciones pequeñas, pero no son asi cuando tienes un bebé en tus brazos y estás en casa sin enfermera o doctor a tu lado para consultarlos! Cuando yo fui mamá por primera vez cualquier cosa me volvia medio loca!.

La Dra. Zibners organiza el libro de manera tal que sabes exactamente donde buscar lo que te preocupa, tiene un capítulo entero sobre recién nacidos, otro sobre la fiebre, otro sobre la cabeza y sistema nervioso, otro sobre ojos y oidos, otro sobre accidentes mayores, alergias y picaduras, etc, finalizando con un capítulo entero sobre la logística y procedimientos comunes de la sala de emergencias.

Yo te recomiendo este libro si estás embarazada, si eres mamá por primera vez (o papá), si eres mamá con niños pequeños o si eres abuela o abuelo. Este libro me ha dado información invaluable, que me ha preparado para saber como afrontar una situación médica con mis hijos. Sinceramente desearía no necesitarlo, sin embargo sé que lo consultaré en más de una ocasión. Definitivamente lo tendré siempre cerca de mi cabecera.

From the moment I started reading, "If your kid eats this book, everything will still be okay" by Lara Zibners MD, former assistant professor of pediatric emergency medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY, I couldn't put it down. I wish I had had this book before my first son was born. Raise your hand if you were concerned when your baby's poop changed color or consistency. How do you feel when your daughter has a fever? Do you panic when your son has a rash? What should you do if your toddler puts something in his ear? Lara Zibners, in a very straightforward and often humorous way, talks about all these childhood occurrences and a lot more. She writes, "This book is not about the basics of child care such as bathing, diapering, and feeding.... The intent of this book is to help parents avoid the stress and expense of a potentially needless visit to the doctor or ER.” She lets us know when an injury or illness is a real emergency and you have to call 911 or go to the hospital; when you should call your doctor right away or wait until the next day; or when you just have to give loving care.

I still remember how desperate I was a week after my first baby was born, it was around 4 a.m. and after feeding him I noticed a blood spot on his clothing! I checked him and found blood coming from his belly button. My husband and I were on the phone trying to talk to a doctor or nurse to ask what we should do. Well if I had had this book, I would have known what to do. When my baby was weeks old I started to notice a pinkish discharge in his diaper, and I got really concerned, I even changed diaper brands. Well if I had had this book then I would have known that when the uric acid from his urine comes in contact with the diaper material, it forms small pinkish crystals, what a relief!! These things seem small right now, but they weren't when my new baby was in my arms, at home, without a Dr. or nurse close by to ask!! When I was a first time mom, pretty much everything freaked me out!

The book is well organized, you will know exactly were to go to find what you are looking for. She starts with, “Ten Fingers...Eleven Toes? A guide to the Newborn's Body, Behaviors, and Symptoms.” Here is a sample of some of the following chapters, “The ABC's: Airway, Breathing and Circulation,” “The Noggin and Nervous System,” “Seeing and Hearing: The Eyes and Ears.” I liked this one especially: “You Give Me Fever!” and she finishes with “Major Trauma and Accident Prevention and Going to the Emergency Room.”

I recommend this book if you are pregnant, a first time mom (or dad), a mom of little children, or a grandparent. It has given me invaluable information, and now I feel more confident that I will know what to do when a medical situation arises. I wish I didn't need this book, yet I'm certain I will use it more than once. Its place now is next to my bed!
