Disneylandia no sólo ofrece entretenimiento para los pequeños, sino también eventos para los papás, y como muestra un botón. Del 16 de abril al 31 de mayo en el parque California Adventure y en algunas áreas selectas del Disneyland Resort, se llevará a cabo el Festival Gastronómico y del Vino "El Arte del Sabor."

Chefs, vinicultores y maestros cerveceros se unirán para celebrar "El Arte del Sabor" mediante demostraciones culinarias y seminarios de vinos y licores. Algunos de los eventos especiales incluyen:

• Taste Food-Wine-Life: Esta es una divertida y dinámica velada que tendrá lugar el 29 de mayo. Los participantes disfrutarán de entretenimiento en vivo mientras prueban una extraordinaria selección de vinos y deliciosos platillos creados por los chefs del Disneyland Resort.
• Sweet Sundays: Incluye un ligero buffet de desayuno y vinos espumantes. Los invitados a este evento verán demostraciones y probarán postres especiales creados por afamados chefs pasteleros.
• Winemaker Dinners (Cenas de Vinicultores): Cada cena se acompañará con cosechas vinícolas premiadas y se servirá en el Steakhouse 55, ubicado dentro del Disneyland Hotel.
• Napa Rose Cooking School: Andrew Sutton, Chef Ejecutivo de Disney, presentará este curso práctico donde cada clase creará y degustará una comida de cuatro entradas, combinada con sus vinos correspondientes. Cada participante se llevará a casa una bata de chef con el logo del festival. Se llevará a cabo en el Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
• Curso introductorio a la cata de vinos: Los participantes aprenderán acerca de las regiones vinícolas, los varietales, las técnicas de crecimiento y de vendímia y después probarán sus nuevos conocimientos con una cata a ciegas.

Disneyland is a very happy place for our little ones to be sure, but did you know Disneyland offers entertainment for parents as well. From April 16th to May 31st, California Adventure Park and Disneyland Resort will host the California Food and Wine Festival.

Chefs, winemakers, and brewmasters will celebrate "The Art of Flavor" with culinary demonstrations, seminars, and delicious food, wine and spirits, and beer. Here are just some of the special events:

• Taste Food-Wine-Life: This fun party will combine the best elements of the Food & Wine Festival: live entertainment, an outstanding selections of wines, and colorful decor. (May 29)
• Sweet Sundays: Featuring a light breakfast buffet and sparkling wine. Guests will see demonstrations and taste signature desserts created by acclaimed pastry chefs.
• Winemaker Dinners: On selected Friday nights guests will enjoy a meal paired with award-winning vintages and served at Steakhouse 55 inside the Disneyland Hotel.
• Napa Rose Cooking School: Disney Executive Chef Andrew Sutton will host this hands-on course where each class will create and enjoy a four-course meal, expertly paired with wines, and each class member will go home with a white chef's coat embroidered with the festival logo.
• Introduction to Wine Tasting: Guest will learn about wine regions, varietals, growing and harvesting techniques and then test their skills with a blind tasting.

Sounds wonderful doesn't it? These are just a few of the events happening during the festival. Some events, including culinary demostrations, are included with admission to Disney's California Adventure Park. Signature events are separately ticketed and require reservations. Nosotros hemos ido a Disneylandia en varias ocasiones, ¡nos encanta! Sin embargo hay tanto que ver y tanto que hacer que a veces hubiera deseado tener un guía turístico sólo para mí :) Bueno, pues déjame contarte que si tu tienes servicio celular con Verizon puedes accesar a una aplicación que es casi casi, como tu guía turístico personal. Con esta aplicación tú puedes obtener ayuda e información actualizada de las actividades a llevar a cabo tanto en Disneylandia (California), como en Disney World (Florida), por ejemplo:

• Tiempo de espera de las atracciones, y FASTPASS
• Localización de tus personajes favoritos, y atracciones, usando mapas en GPS
• Restaurantes para desayunar, almorzar, comer, o sólo tomar un snack
• Tips sobre lo que esta sucediendo en los parques
• Juegos de trivia para jugar con otros visitantes del parque
• Y mucho más

Yo no tengo servicio de Verizon, pero aún así puedo accesar a cierta información, como horarios del parque, calendario de eventos e información sobre restaurantes a través de las páginas m.disneyworld.com and m.disneyland.com en teléfonos con acceso a internet, ¿padre no?

I've been to Disneyland a few times, love it! But there is so much to see and do, sometimes I wish I had a personal tour planner with me :) But there is a new app for Verizon Wireless phones that probably is the closest thing to a planner. This Mobile Magic Application provides helpful and timely information on activities in both Disney Parks, California and Florida, like

• Updated attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times
• Location of favorite characters, and attractions, with GPS enabled maps
• Restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks
• Tips on what's happening in the parks
• Trivia games to play against other park guests
• And more

I'm a Non-Verizon Wireless customer but I can still access select information, such as park hours, attraction information, entertainment schedules, and dining information through the new m.disneyworld.com and m.disneyland.com mobile Web sites with my browser-enabled phones. Cool!!

This all comes just in time for our next visit to Disney, we are participating in the "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" campaign with Disney, maybe you can, too, check it out HERE!

Boleto 2Fer en Disneylandia esta de vuelta! Disneyland 2Fer is Back!

Si vives en el Sur de California entre los códigos postales 90000-93599 puedes aprovechar el boleto 2fer de Disneylandia. Con este boleto puedes visitar un día ya sea, Disneylandia o California Adventure, y regresar otro día a visitar el parque que te faltó, todo por $72 (10 años y más) o $62 (3-9 años). Válido hasta el 12 de abril del 2010.

Ahora, si visitar un parque al día no es suficiente, entonces por $25 dólares más puedes comprar el boleto 2-Días Park Hooper, con el cual puedes visitar los dos parques en el mismo día, ¡por dos días! Válido hasta el 12 de abril del 2010.

Y si esto aún no es suficiente y te gustaría visitar más a menudo "el lugar mas felíz sobre la tierra", entonces puedes comprar alguna de las opciones de Pases Anuales y ¡pagarlo en cómodas mensualidades! Por favor checa la página web de Disneylandia en español para ver los pagos.

If you live in Southern California between 90000-93599 zip codes you can take advantage of the 2fer Ticket. With this ticket you can visit either Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park one day and then come back another day to the other Park all for just $72 (Ages 10 and up) or $62 (Ages 3-9). Valid thru April 12, 2010.

Now, if one day per Park is not enough, then for $25 more you can upgrade it to a 2-Day Park Hopper! Visit both parks on the same day for two days! Valid thru April 12, 2010

Tengo buenas noticias para ti si te gusta Disneylandia,(¿y a quien no?) y vives en uno de los 50 Estados de la Unión Americana, el Distrito de Columbia, Puerto Rico o Canadá.

A partir del 1o. de Enero del 2010 dará inicio el programa Da un Día. Recibe un Día Disney, donde tú y hasta 8 miembros de tu familia podrán inscribirse para ofrecer un día de servicio público en una de las organizaciones participantes. Después de que lo completes y sea verificado, recibirás una entrada GRATIS para Disneylandia o Disney World, ¿qué te parece?

Mientras tanto puedes acceder a la página e inscribirte para recibir información y recordatorios sobre el programa "Da un Día. Recibe un Día Disney" a traves de tu email.

Debes ser mayor de 18 años para participar y los niños deben tener al menos 6 años de edad para ser eligibles al programa. Por favor checa la página para mayores detalles y reglas.

I have some very happy Disney news to share with you. Beginning January 1, 2010, when you sign up to volunteer for a day of service with a participating organization (and your service is completed and verified), you will get one day admission to a Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme park, FREE!

Give a Day. Get a Disney Day is open to all fifty US States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada. (Yeah Kim!) You must be at least 18 to sign up. Children must be at least 6 to participate and you may only sign up a maximum of 8 members of your household.

I'm getting ready! I already signed up for reminders and I'm looking forward to doing my volunteer work next year! I cannot wait to visit Disneyland again.
