Yo no me acuerdo mucho de mi primer día de kinder, posiblemente porque sólo tenía cuatro años de edad (la edad acostumbrada para empezar la escuela en México). Pero si me acuerdo de "la marcha de las vocales" que se escuchaba en el altavoz al tiempo que caminábamos a nuestro salón de clases, me acuerdo de las letras y números pintados en línea en la parte alta de la pared de mi salón y recuerdo que esperaba con ansia la llegada de mi mamá...
El lunes fue el primer día de kinder de mi hijo. Su carita estaba un poco triste (lo que me apachurro el corazón) no sé si tenía un poco de miedo o sólo confusion por la nueva escuela, maestra y compañeros de clase.
Al final del día todo esta bien. Me acerco a la puerta veo su linda carita, él me ve y me da la sonrisa mas grande que puede... mi corazón late de nuevo.
Mi hijo esta en kinder, su vida académica ha comenzado y me muero por ver lo que el futuro le depara a este pedacito de mi ser. ¡Felicidades mi ángel!

I don't remember much about my first day at kindergarten, probably because I was only 4 years old (the customary age for kids to start school in Mexico). But I do remember the song we used to line up and walk to our classroom, "la marcha de las vocales" (the vowel march), and the numbers and letters in the front of my classroom, and waiting next to the door for my mom to pick me up...
Monday was my son's first day at kindergarten. He looked a little sad to me (which made my heart ache), I do not know if he was a little scared or just confused about his new school, teacher and classmates.
At the end of the day everything was fine. I walked close to the door and saw his beautiful face... he saw me and gave me the brigthest smile... it made my day.
My son is in kindergarten, his academic life has just begun, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for this beautiful soul. Congratulations my angel!

ReplyDeleteYo también no recuerdo exactamente mi primer día de kinder (yo entre a los tres años como oyente, en un kinder en Mexico), pero si recuerdo como me gustaba ir a la escuela y recuerdo como durante el día esperaba con ansias que llegara la tarde para contarle a mis papas todo lo que había aprendido ese día.
ReplyDeleteSe que sera distinto el día que entren mis nenes a la escuela. Solo quiero que el tiempo camine mas despacio, pues se que una vez que entren, el tiempo caminara mas y mas rápido.

Ahhh! I loved that he gave you the biggest and best smile at the end of the day. It gets me weepy just thinking about it. My daughter is 4 and will be starting kindergarten next year. It's an exciting time but a little sad as they enter the next step in life. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. My son is doing great! the first week was a little hard but now he is happy. Is just half day Kinder though, so it's harder for me!! :) (preschool was 5 hours a day!!) but I know this year will fly!
