Check out "Letters to Juliet," Summit's new romantic comedy starring Amanda Seyfried, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Vanessa Redgrave. The film will be in theaters on May 14, but I have great news for you! Today at Mama Latina Tips you have the opportunity to participate for your chance to win advance screening passes in selected cities! Synopsis: When a young American (Amanda Seyfried) travels to the city of Verona, home of the star-crossed Juliet Capulet of Romeo and Juliet fame, she joins a group of volunteers who respond to letters to Juliet seeking advice about love. On more than one occasion I've told you how much my family and I enjoy V-me. Have you watched it? Programs are 100% in Spanish and besides having a variety of wonderful programs for adults, they have great educational children's programs. Every morning my kids after, watching Curious George on PBS, switch the Channel to V-me to watch "Jim de la Luna," "Bruno," and "Peep" three of their favorite shows.

I was very happy to see "Peep and the Big Wide World" on V-me, we watch it every time we go to visit family in Mexico, it's very cute. The three characters, Peep, a newly hatched chicken, Chirp, a smart and sassy robin, and Quack, an endearingly egotistical duck, explore their big wide world introducing science concepts in a fun way. "La Rosa de Guadalupe" sorteo / "La Rosa de Guadalupe" Giveaway

Has visto "La Rosa de Guadalupe"? es una serie televisiva que se transmite por Univisión en los Estados Unidos y posiblemente en algunas televisoras de latinoamérica. La Rosa de Guadalupe consta de varios episodios, donde en el transcurso de una hora puedes ver una historia de principio a fin. Estas historias relatan los contratiempos a los que todo ser humano se enfrenta, ya sea, enfermedades, problemas econonómicos, adicciones, entre otros y como mediante valores familiares y fe las personas pueden salir adelante. Aunque es un programa que no pretende modificar las las creencias religiosas de los televidentes, si busca fomentar la fe e inspirar a aquellos que se encuentran pasando por momentos difíciles. Cada episodio comienza en la Basílica de Guadalupe, en la Ciudad de México, donde el personaje acude a pedir ayuda a la Virgen y termina en el mismo lugar cuando el regresa a dar gracias.

Creo que en estos tiempos, todos necesitamos de finales felices, ¿no creen? aunque sólo sea en la tele :) Si vives en Los Estados Unidos, puedes verla por Univisión todos los viernes a las 10:00 pm / 9:00 centro. "La Rosa de Guadalupe" ("The Rose of Guadalupe") is a series of mini soap-operas each compacted into a single hour. It tells stories of struggles with financial problems, addiction, domestic violence, divorce, among other things, and demonstrates how through faith, hope, and love everything can be transformed into a positive outcome. This is not a program about religion; however it does aim to inspire anyone who is going through difficult times. In each episode, the new main character begins by going to "La Basilica" in Mexico City, where he or she asks for a miracle, and then comes back at the end to give thanks for the miracle performed. The drama comes in between.

It's nice to see happy endings, don't you think? If you live in the USA, you can watch it (in Spanish) every Friday night at 10:00 p.m /9:00 central on Univision, or you can buy the series on DVD. Last Tuesday "La Rosa de Guadalupe," Vol 2 was released. This DVD includes episodes with actors including Lupita Lara, Carlos Bonavides, Sergio Catalan, Yessica Salazar, Alejandra Avalos, among others. Or you can win it here at Mama Latina Tips!
